Limited experience with NAV and McAfee over the past 5 years yes because I had
both cause major problems with systems I worked on -- Norton devouring an entire
AutoCad program and all associated files because it did not recognize the
extensions, Norton causing major conflicts with Windows, accounting programs and
causing 10-25 BSOD per day (after NAV was removed 0 BSOD per day). McAfee came
and went quickly as it totally slowed systems down.

Norton and McAfee have become so intrusive that it is almost impossible to
completely uninstall them from systems

In the real world -- I have seen computers running either NAV or McAfee (with
regular updates)
regularly infected by all sorts of nasties on a regular basis, where the
computers running E-Trust and AVG stay clean.
