Virus Patch/service pack 4

I've downloaded the patch for the blaster virus. However
service pack 3 or 4 is required for it to work
succesfully.
 I've downloaded service pack 4. However it will not
install as the install process terminates before it is
completed...Any one know why or how to make this install
work?
