Couple of questions/thoughts:

I'm seeing signs that the newsservers are somewhat discombobulated
(technical term) right at the moment.

Usually when this happens, you can look at either the web view of the
newsgroups, or, perhaps, a google view, and see complete threads with the
messages intact.

So--that's one interpretation of what might be happening. If that's it,
look again along about Tuesday or so, after the recombobulation routine has
been manually triggered.

The other thought is what David and Robert have echoed here--that you've
inadvertently triggered an anti-spam censorship routine.

These instances can, in fact, be traced and fixed--so if you can feed me the
messageID's of the posts in question and any other details, this may be able
to be checked on--and maybe help tune the filters in the process. No
guarantees, but it definitely is possible--they can trace whether a given
post ever hit the servers, and, if it did, what happened to it from there on
out.
(and obviously, if it has a messagID, it did hit some NNTP server!)
