Can you get to this link? This is the link to the windows patch at the
microsoft site.
If it is because it keeps restarting that you can't get to the site.
When you see the shutdown notice go to Start
Run
type in shutdown -a That will keep you machine up.

Then you should get your AV product up to date.
If you don't have there is a very capable free one available at
www.grisoft.com - AVG 6.0

If not try an online scan, at www.pandasoftware.com
