Is not the easiest way of determining whether you have a virus to
run updated antivirus software?
If you do not have antivirus software, you can get some for free at
http://www.grisoft.com
You should also consider installing a firewall with application blocking,
such as ZoneAlarm Basic, available free at http://www.zonelabs.com
Also ensure you are fully patched with all Critical Updates available
from Microsoft at http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com
Good luck!
