Hi Bill: Would there be some way for a novice like me to spot the code, and
how would I do it if I could? I rec'd a lot of these since 9-19, and just
now got around to asking about the inconsistencies in the file size. Before
I stopped them at the server level, they were downloading to my computer,
and NAV identified it as W32/Swen.A@mm, and quarantined it, then I deleted.
At the time, I couldn't figure it out, because then as well as today, there
weren't any discernable attachments, so I wondered where the problem was.
Had the email downloaded to my computer, and I didn't have antiviral, would
reading/opening it execute the code, even though there is no attachment, and
even though I have my email set for plain text only?

Thanks for all you help, and I'm glad you suggested using/learning OE, for
my newsreading, instead of continuing to use the Web Interface, what a
difference!!
