I'm assuming the machine is not winxp/2000
Start the machine in DOS mode upon rebooting, hit F8 and select the
'safe dos mode' option
put in a floppy (remove write protection)
execute the command format c: /u /s <enter>
Disk will now be formated and bootable.
Copy swentool.com to the floppy. (enable write protection)
remove the floppy
start windows and get to desktop
insert the floppy
Double click my computer, select the floppy drive, and attempt to
execute the swentool file.
If this fails, the drop file that swen puts in to infect everything is
missing (you will also notice that you can't run many programs, command
line stuff etc).
Norton has detailed instructions on how to re-enable your registry
editor to clear out the garbage that has been put in, you can find here:
http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/w32.swen.a@mm.html
Good luck!!
