You say your computer got infected today. Did you check the date of the
file(s) that were infected to determine the date?

It is possible that it was a false positive see my message Dated 9/8/03 Re:
"VerifierBug-Class -with NAV False Positive?" copy is below.

Last week after getting the Norton updates and running a scan. NAV reported
four Trojans 3 of the VerifierBug.Class and 1 Verify-1-CLA.

I have absolutely no idea what the first 3 so called VerifierBug-Class
Trojans really are. I do know the 4th one was a file generated by Nero
Backitup program.

At least every two days I run, TDS-3 Professional (Anti-Trojan) Spybot,
AdAware and PestPatrol and I was shocked to find the results of the NAV
scan.

It is my untrained opinion that all 4 were false positives generated by the
NAV update of last week.

Of course as I said it is my untrained, uneducated opinion. Was wondering is
there a place suspicious files can be sent to for analysis?A kind of central
clearing house?

Does anyone have an opinion or advice?
TIA

Seems as though I only hear about the Verifier Trojan being recognized by
Norton. (For a second opinion I also use AVG) I wonder if any other
programs are picking up the Verifier Class type Trojans?

Any input from the great folks on here that so kindly share their computer
knowledge & experience to help others?
