Hi Peter,
Can you be specific what do you mean by "Purge logon sessions"? Do you mean
that there are too many logon sessions in your system so you wanted to
shutdown some logon sessions? If so, can you tell me how many logon
sessions are there in your system?
Based on my experience, many components in many system services created
logon sessions internally, so there is no central place to control logon
session count. For example, token is a proxy handle to the logon session,
so if any application calls LogonUser with a different credential, a new
logon session is created.(Many service internal performs this task during
impersonation, such as Asp.net and IIS processes) On Vista, the elevated
admin and non-elevated admin token also will be identified as separate
logon sessions.
Anyway, I need more context information of your question, so that we may
provide the best suggestion for you. Thanks.
Best regards,
Jeffrey Tan
