SSPI - use of ApplyControlToken

The SSPI constant SCHANNEL_SHUTDOWN is used with the API function
ApplyControlToken to initiate shut down of an SChannel connection.

Is there documentation that describes the use of ApplyControlToken in other
situations, such as sending TLS alerts? For example, if I were to use it to
make apply an alert for no renegotiation on the server after it received a
client request for renegotiation, and then send the resulting output to the
client, what should I expect on the client?

Is there any other information available for the correct use of SSPI control
tokens in other situations where TLS would use alerts?

Thanks
Gary Price
