Yes. More specifically, I want to verify a MS OS component that is not
signed.

If so, please refer to my reply in another thread...<

I looked at this thread and your replies and they appear to respond to the
verification of *signed code*. Perhaps I am missing something. System File
Checker does something along these lines but I don't want to wait for it to
scan an entire Windows installation. I looked at the CryptCAT* functions,
but I didn't see specifically what I need.
