Hi Jeffrey,
Thanks for your reply!
When I ran the application on the DC with 2G RAM (Win2003 R2 server), it
perform better until the calls get near 300k. From my experience, the error
is more easily to be reproduced on a XP machine. Would you please test it on
a XP machine?
Thanks!
Best Regards,
Tony Cheung

Hi Tony,at
Thanks for your feedback!
I have followed your descriptions to run 5 instances of the applications
the same time on my Win2003 SP1 3G CPU 2G RAM machine. Although the speedand
is somewhat slower than running one instance, I still did not get the 2
erros you encountered.
0x8007203A maps to ERROR_DS_SERVER_DOWN constant. Normally this error
generated with ADsOpenObject can be caused by several reasons:
1. LDAP server that is down.
2. It is possible that the DC server is too busy to respond to the call
causing a timeout which the client may interpret as the server not beingbetter
available.
3. Another scenario may be because there are DNS name resolution errors,
that is a name that is not resolvable via DNS.
Because I can not reproduce out this specific problem, I can not say for
sure of the exact cause. Have you tried to run this application on a
performance machine? Also, I recommended you try it on Win2003 system.rights.
Thanks!
Best regards,
Jeffrey Tan
