I've read some more on this subject, and now I think I misunderstood this whole certificate thing when I posted my prior question.
Is it true that a PKCS#12 file (a PFX file) can contain a private key, in addition to a certificate, and the private key in there is in PKCS#8 format?
If so, is a private key by definition in PKCS#8 format?
