'CMDchecktempinit could not be located' Error after applying KB840

    Hi,
    One of my clients is getting 'PCSWS.EXE gives entry point not found.
    CMDchecktempinit could not be located in the dynamic link library NTVDM.EXE'
    error when he tries to start pcsws.exe, on Win 2000 Prof SP4.
    We provided PCSWS.EXE to this our client.The problem started ONLY after
    applying KB840987 patch. Any ways of circumvention for this ?
    Also 2 other client's report the same problem.
