Certificate Services Extension Handler

Hi all.

How can I set custom data inside a Certificate before it is issued?

I think the way is to copy an modify an existing certificate template, add a
custom extension with a new OID, and then ??? Write a custom extension
handler?

Does anybody knows how can I register a custom extension handler DLL inside
Windows 2003 Certificate Services and make that Microsoft default Policy
Module call this DLL before issuing.

Where can I find an example?
