Well, I need to do something very similar. And I'm in very similar situation: almost no clues :)

Anyways, if you use your fingerprint image as a key to some locally stored DB then you got problem when the user moves a workstation. How would the local credentials be transfered to the other workstation the user logged on now ?

I think it should somehow sit on the DC side and be retreived at the log on.
Anyways, I'm seeking for samples and ideas too.
Any suggestions gurus ?
