Thank you for the link. Yes, this seems to be working (and I've found
the comment of one of the library authors I mentioned, he used the same
article), but I was hoping to get more precise info. The reason is that
Authenticode has limited use if the application itself can't validate
it's own signature, and this is not possible without having the format
public.
