Micorsoft Certificate Services related info

I have been using Microsoft Certificate Services and i
have 2 main queries.
1) I am sending a certificate request in the PKCS 10
format to the Submit method of MS CA. I want to specify a
key usage as i have not specified it in the request. Is
there any means to do the same

2) Subject Alternate Name could be another attribute in
the certificate. how do i pass in the Subject Alternate
Name in my request for certificate (knowing the fact that
it is not a part of PKCS#10 request) .Can Email id be a
valid value for Subject Alternate Name in Microsoft
