UPN is an other name format. OID = 1.3.6.1.4.1.311.20.2.3

It should be a UTF8 string

Hello!
I cannot find the exact (BNF/ABNF) definition of UPN. All
I've found is examples like "some_one@some_where.com" and
vague references to RFC822. Is there such definition
available ?
I mean can I use full UNICODE charset (including control
character etc.): is it possible to specify a
username "<8xspace>@<2xtab>.<del>".
Or according to RFC822 I cannot use 8-bit (ISO Latin 1)
scandinavian characters, yet I can have an UPN called
räikkä.råman@domain.com. How about Chinese or Thai
characters ?
Or does a full-blown e-mail address work as
UPN: "Potatoes"."'n'"."Stakes 2"@foo."\"fyi\"".org ?
