My understanding is that ECC is under some sort of discussion
at MS re: potential future inclusion??

With 1024 bit RSA considered standard industry strength, and 2048
bit RSA available and supported on most MS OSs, I would think
there must a a MS strategy (e.g. a "what if .." team) designing a
cross-over plan in the tragic event that RSA is ever subverted ;-)
