Great answer Ken, the answer was I was using the server's IP address during
testing. According to the article you referenced the dots in the IP address
means the AD credentials from the browser aren't passed. I used the server's
name and BLAMO! it worked!!
Thanks Ken!

Hi,.
This is probably a browser issue rather than a server issue. It's up to the
browser to decide whether to prompt the user or not.
See: http://support.microsoft.com/?id=258063 for how to configure IE.

I have an internal-only web app which I want to use a Windows Integrated
Security to control access. Using IIS 6 I setup the Properties -
Directory
Security -
Authentication and Access Control ensuring Anonymous Access is NOT checked
and Integrated Windows Authentication is checked. I gave read/write
access
to Authenticated Users on the website's directory.
I'm hoping the users credentials used when logging into the domain will
pass
thru
to the website and allow access. However, when I have the above
configured
users get prompted to enter a user id/password when they hit the website.
When entered the user is granted access to the website.
Is there something I'm missing?
Thanks in advance,
steve
