RE: IIS cannot start as a result of COM+ error(?)

Hey,
If the Component services console crashes then its possible that the COM+
catalog is corrupted. To fix this follow steps in
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;301919
If this doesn't fix the problem, please post to the COM+ newsgroup. You
might have to obtain crash dumps while the MMC is crashing and that will
tell us why the issue is occuring. Once the COM+ catalog is intact then IIS
shouldn't have any problems.
