In IIS Manager, right-click on website, properties -> directory security
tab, click "edit" in the SSL section, and uncheck "require SSL". Now you
should be able to connect using both http:// and https://

: Hi there,
: I've got a W2K development server with SSL certificates installed on it.
: These certificates have been created internally by previous developer. I
: would need to do development work on this server and make changes to a
: secured web site which is hosted on this server. The problem that I'm
facing
: is that Visual InterDev can not connect to the web site since the
: certificates have not been generated by a Certificate Authority. I would
: need to completely turn off security on this site so I could proceed with
: the development, and then turn it on when testing.
:
: Is there anyway to tackle this.
:
: Thanks a bunch,
: Gilgamesh.
