Hello,
We have a W2K domain with a web site for external
access for authenticated users only. I have noticed when
a user logs in for the first time that day (say 8am) thru
the web site that the net user userid command on the DC
shows last logon as it should. If the user logs off and
logs back in 10-15 minutes later he has to enter name and
pw as before but after he is granted access the net user
command shows the previous time (8am in this example)for
last login instead of the latest actual login. It seems
that it takes approx half an hour from the initial login
so that the DC actually displays the correct last login
again. Once it 'corrects' itself the half hour cycle
starts again.
It appears that IIS5.0 has some sort of cache memory
and is not actually contacting the DC after the initial
login. Can someone explain what is happening and maybe
how to fix the situation? Our authentication is set at
Integrated Windows authentication.
Thanks in advance,
Steve
