I have the same problem. Outlook Web Access (over https) and IMAP
(over ssl) stops responding on an Exchange 2000 Frontend Server.
The server (w2k SP3, iis, no domain controller) works fine for a long
period. Since yesterday the problem persists. In event log I receive
the following message too:
"The security package Microsoft Unified Security Protocol Provider
generated an exception. The package is now disabled. The exception
information is the data."
Source is LSASRV, Event ID: 5000"
Does applying SP4 resolve the problem?
