Thanks Tom
I've read that one already - infact in points me t the KB articles KB 288366, 288367 and 288368
and also 224338 which deals with the "Could Not Open Macro Storage" issue relating to loading a user hive.
Does the fact that anonymous access is disabled but Windows authentication is enabled affect which user is launching Word? Is there a way to determine which user it is? Can I test whether a particular user hive is in fact loaded?
Why is the ODBC database connection affected?
I'm still really puzzed here because the solutions in the KB articles are very focused on the issue but I'mhaving no success.
