Well, I didn't know about those Microsoft articles. My server is a domain
controller, then I needed IIS. I was surprised that anybody could log into
the web server with no username and password required. The I disabled
anonymous access and that fixed that. But now you needed a user name and
password to brows the server. I put anonymous access back on. I then noticed
that domain users had author permissions to the server. I made domain users
only have browser access and not author access. That seemed to fix
everything. Yes all the default permissions should be tweaked an you will be
able to get everything to work right.
