I suspect you can get your money refunded. Email the case number to me at
a-chaun@microsoftNOSPAM.com and I can review it and perhaps see what I can
do. (No promises.)

The directions for renewing a certificate in IIS6 should be almost
identical to those in IIS5. I'd recommend

You should be able to renew the certificate from the IIS console.
