Hijack

Hey, one other quick thing. A page keeps popping up
everytime I am online saying that my 'hosts file' has
been hijacked (my homepage and favortite list have
actually been hijacked) and that I should go to regedit
and delete file svchost.exe, also in the windows
directory and then reboot in SAFE MODE and delete
winlogon.exe from the Startup file. Would this get my
homepage and favorite list back??
