The client is responsible for caching any user credentials. You want to ask
this in a IE newsgroup.
What people have noticed is that depending on the Zone that IE thinks your
website is located in, it may/not auto-login with your credentials (security
reasons). So, you need to configure it yourself.

I have setup a WebDAV directory on IIS 5.1 using Basic Authentication. (Beautiful). However, when I save a new file to the folder and go to open this file from the directory, it prompts me again for Username/Password. I enter the username/password and it opens fine. However, should it not use the credentials that I used to create the connection? Is there a setting that I missed? Thanks....
