I've just pulled the plug on using SPA (secure password authentication) due
to some issues with my users not being able to retrieve their email. Now I'm
faced with the issue of proper setup to disallow relay or rogue users.
I've setup my server to not allow annonymous acccess inbound or outbound and
found that unless that flag was enabled mail wasn't going anywhere. I have
setup the forward mail only from these addresses in the address list and
it's empty so this should keep only authorized users from using my server as
a relay.
Does anyone have a step by step that I can use to make sure my settings are
proper? Also is there a workaround where the users don't have to have email
accounts that are user @ domainname.com and just the username as it was with
SPA?
Fyi, Running IIS6
Thanks, MIGUEL
