The excet message is Connection closed by remote host.
This problem is solved as W2K3 server was assigining the same IP address which were already in used by DHCP server. This caused this problem. Whenever it used the existing IP address it caused the problem otherwise it worked fine.
We've now assigned a separate pool of addresses for RAS and DHCP which solved this problem.
