Hi Darren,

My name is Michael Noto. Thank you for using the Microsoft
IIS Newsgroups. As I understand, you are getting the error when trying to
install a certificate on four workstations.

I found only two cases with this error message. One case was
resolved by "It appears that adding System:Full Control to the MachineKeys
folder has resolved the problem." and the other was resolved by Removing
and reinstalled the Certificate Authority, which allowed the certificate to
be installed.

I hope this helps! If you have additional questions on this topic, please

I have a web site running on IIS 5.0. I am using
certificates to authorize the users for the secure part
of the site. I have four workstations that when I go to
install the client certificates from the CA, I get this
message:

The Certificate cannot be installed because of a problem
with the cryptographic hardware!

All the rest install fine and work great. Any Ideas?
Thanks!
