Karl,
Just a quick addition to your port scanner section:
"If your machine is on a network and you wish to have more control over the
scan, you may want to download port-scanning software such as Nmap NT from
www.eeye.com/html/Research/Tools/nmapNT.html" - eEye's NmapNT is outdated.
The code was incorporated to the official nmap distribution, available from
here:
http://www.insecure.org/nmap/nmap_download.html
Another possible addition: you mention NIST standard for security testing:
http://csrc.nist.gov/publications/drafts/security-testing.pdf
You may wish to consider adding the Open Source Security Testing Methodology
Manual and other great stuff available from ISECOM:
regards
Slavko
