this is a bit long so bear with
first iis web site for me
win2k adv serv, iis5.0
i'm under the impression that iis creates the inetpub/wwwroot structure for
default usage and its persmissions, security are adequate for web hosting
been creating virtual web sites with home directories in
inetpub/wwwroot/myweb structure, have been putting img src files in
inetpub/wwwroot/images for ease of coding (ie =/images/pic.jpg)
ok finally here's the question
when i try to edit or copy/replace/paste web pages or images from another
machine, even if i give an administrator privilege user, i get can't do it
files may be in use or no privilege across network, in this case the network
is my lan, so.......its a royal pain to have to go back to web server pc and
work the files from that end
is there a secure permission/access settings so i can update, etc web files
from another machine without unduly compromising security
