Hi,

Thanks for you reply...
I am getting a reissue from my vendor, as I was not able to deploy the
certificate which I got from them
here are the details of my scenario
I have a web site running with an SSL certificate ( for this web site I want
to apply a new cert)
-I created a new web site for temporary purpose
-I used the certificate wizard on the new web site by giving the actual
details and generated a CSR.
-Now I want to give this new CSR to the vendor so that they can generate a
new certificate

but before that I want to make sure that there is nothing left on my side...

Previously I did the following steps
- I removed the current certificate from my live site
- I generated a new CSR using the wizard from the same live site
- After getting the new CSR I went to the certificate wizard and said
'Delete Pending Request'
- After that I reapplied the old certificate with the assumption that once I
get the new certificate I can deploy that and assign that, but some how I
was not able to do the same...

so what's your comment on my current scenario
this time I am following the steps from the below located page
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;295281

thanks a lot for all your help,
Govind.
