I am trying to install a new SSL cert on a Win 2000
server that had an SSL cert that expired a few weeks ago.
I removed the old cert using the wizard, generated a new
request, sent it off to the new 3rd party, (Xramp), got
back 3 crt files to install using the certificates snap
in, installed the 3 certificates, (personal, intermediate,
root), verified them within the snap in, installed the
cert on the website in IIS 5.0, verified the router
correctly routes port 443, but can't connect to the
website using https. The IIS server system log shows an
Schannel error: "The SSL server credential's
certificate does not have a private key information
property attached to it." ??? Please help - what went
wrong?
