Hello,
When viewing a Word application via our website, I used to get this
WINWORD.exe generated an error... and then it would close Word. I applied
the latest patch SR-3 yesterday. Now, I don't get that error, but I still
get one of the other errors that I got even previously before applying SR-3.
On the main page of this Word application, there are several links to
various other word documents associated with this application. The first
time one of these links is clicked it takes you to its corresponding page
without any problem. However, if you go back and click on the same link to
open it again, this time "Enter Network Password" window pops-up, though it
still takes me to the corresponding page even when I don't enter any
information and just click on Cancel. This pop-up window is same as NT
network login window. None of those docs are individually secured by a
specific account, besides this only happens the second time (or each time
after it has been viewed once already) when it's clicked - the first time no
pop-up window comes up. Anyone know what's happening here?! Why would I get
in the first time, but prompted for username, password, domain info every
time after the 1st click, though canceling this login doesn't stop from
viewing the page successfully! If you can provide some suggestions as to why
this
happens. Is this an IIS/network issue? IUSR... (internet guest) account has
rights to Read and List Folder Contents. If I supply my network login then
it doesn't prompt for it again so long the session isn't terminated, but if
I close and open this same application in a new window, same things starts
again after the first click/view. It's an unnecessary box, as the page opens
up whether I supply my login info or cancel it.
Thanks Muck!
