MMC / ISM error: Error connecting to localhost: Access is Denied

I'm logged in as local admin on this server, but when I
try to open Internet Services Manager or expand the
Services in MMC, a window like this pops:
Internet Services Manager -
Error connecting to computer-name:
Access is Denied
The IIS service is running, but I get the same error if I
try to stop it. FTP and Web Publish do stop, though. Any
idea how to get access to the IIS Admin?
