I'm attempting to test an ASP from a desktop using windows
2000 professional with the service pack 2 update.
set-up the internet information service in the correct
root libraries with an asp file that just goes to the
server and gets time. when I execute it the browser sends
error 500 server problem. In the log it expands to
wrong user id or password. I'm using the default
administrator id to log on. trying to test it on the local
machine without an actual physical server as the first
step. It claims it cannot use the iwan_pentium4 user when
i'm using administrator to log on. help please.
also, I notice that after creating an app in the root and
filling out some properties it crates additional similar
projects elsewhere in the default web site directory.
it's probably a trivial solution but i cant seem to set
up all properties in the root folders to resolve this
problem.
a solution would be appreciated.
