When I create and assign a digital certificate to a web
site using IIS 5.0 on a Windows 2000 Advanced Server with
SP3 with an assigned IP address the site does not respond
and I see the following errors on the Event View logs:

A fatal error occurred while creating an SSL server
credential.

I cannot find any reference anywhere for the cause and
resolution of these errors. I noticed that when I run a
netstat -an the server in not binding port 443 to the IP
address assigned to the site. The browser error when
trying to access the site is "The page cannot be
displayed. Cannot find server or DNS Error
Internet Explorer." I will appreciate any guidance in
this matter.
