Can't Use Digest Authentication

If I configure my local computer's website for digest
authentication and the account I am going to use for
authentication for "Store password using reversible
encryption", I am unable to log on to my website. I
checked up with the course 2153b and followed all the
steps. Still I can't use digest authentication. In the
resource kit it was written to check the option "Save
password using encrypted clear text", but there was no
such option in the Domain Account. Please help me.
