I have a client that called today with a rather bizarre
problem.

Prior to me taking over this client, someone had set up
IIS's FTP services on a W2K W.S.

Sometime in the last week someone deposited over 6GB of
files with wierd names like: "q 81903" without the quotes.

Under this directory there is a plethora of other wierd
names and files.

The problem is that these cannot be deleted by any means
I've tried. I've checked every Unix type site as well as
MS's KB etc., to no avail.

The error message that is returned is: "Cannot read from
Disk...". CHKDSK ran without a hitch.

In short, we do not want to crater the system as the
software installed would take 4 days to rebuild (Siesmic
type stuff).

Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Richard
