Note that if the message said "Messenger," then you need
need need a firewall. If you don't have a firewall, you
need need need a firewall. This indicates your machine is
wide open to more serious hacking.
You could also additionally use software to block pop-ups
and adware. All this can be done for free [www.sygate.com
is one free firewall, for example.]
