I might recommend re-submitting a new request to Verisign. If it's in the
first 30 days of purchase, they'll issue you a new one.

Verisign is one of the more expensive cert providers. I haven't had any
problems using certs from Entrust.net [which is now owned by Verisign
anyways] and they're like a third of the price [around $120 / year]. There
are also cheaper cert providers, but some of those start having issues with
certain browsers. If it's the first 30 days of purchase, you can get a
refund.
