If you removed the NTFS permission for IUSER_MACHINENAME and disabled
anonymous access in the Internet Services Manager, the IIS default settings
are to use Integrated Windows authentication (unless you unchecked that box
too which wouldnt make too much sense). If the site is now using integrated
windows authentication, that should set you on the right track to debugging.
Set NTFS permissions to allow access only to local admins for example and
try to connect to the website from another machine on the network and see if
it lets you in. It shouldnt.
