Your situation doesn't seem related next to the fact that your webserver crashed
for some reason. What do you run on your webserver - static HTM, ASP pages, COM
components, third party ISAPI, etc? And yes, restarting webserver is the only
way to address a crashed webserver.

HI Michael and Lei,
I also encounter such these problems in my IIS4.0. It
gives Dr Watson error on Inetinfo.exe. Then i have to
start WWW Publishing service manually, however, sometimes
fails, saying that the service could not be started. Final
attempt is that i have to reset my web server.
Please advise
