Change of password for a web application being authenticated

I am working on a web application where authentication
is used for accessing the site. Whenever a password expires
for a user in NT machine then site after prompting for
username and password takes the user to a page prompting
for change of password. But after entering old and new
passwords it does not work and says page not found.

If anybody has come across this kind of problem, his help
will be appreciated.
