Currently I am having trouble setting up Sharepoint Portal
Server to accept client certificates to authenticate
users. With only IIS this is easy, I can enable Directory
mapping and remove all Authentication methods, and a
client's certificate will authenticate them.
When I do the same to the site I have set up for
Sharepoint, I get an error saying that there is something
wrong with the Proxy Server.
>From what I can tell, IIS is setting up the connection
correctly. When I connect to the site, I am prompted for
what certificate I want to use. After I select the
certificate the lock appears in the lower right hand
corner to show that I do have an SSL connection.
I can not figure out why SPS won't accept this method of
authentication? Is there anyone out there that can help?
Matt
