David,

Yes, you should run some sort of anti-virus software on your server. As to
which program, whatever you like and can afford is better than nothing.
Preferably you would want a package that automatically updates itself and
is configurable via exclusion lists for what files to scan. Other than
that I have heard good and bad things about almost every product on the
market.
